My doctor phoned me this morning to confirm what I wrote about a few posts down… that I would possibly be delivering this baby at a different hospital than my own.

No biggie. The obstetrician that will be taking care of me is apparently wonderful, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about him from other women who have had experiences with him in the past.

It’s just… the hospital is about 45 minutes away. Which means I’m going to be 40 minutes further from Jordan, Ross and the rest of my family when I do have the baby and I’m admitted for roughly 5 days. I know everyone will come and visit as much as possible, but I’m sure I’ll feel lonely! At least I’ll have a new baby to occupy my time… man, I really can’t wait!

Now that everything is quickly coming into place, it’s like… HELLO! Baby is coming SOON! I just can’t wait until next Wednesday when I meet the new doctor to discuss everything and pick a birth date!

I remember filling out the paperwork in highschool for one, and never sent it away. Oops! And now that I have a family, it’s definitely something I should get onto doing because we would really love to take a trip someday, and not having a passport would rule out most places.

Jordan and I went for a walk on Friday to meet her dad for lunch. On the way there, I started to have severe pains in my stomach, like… we’re talking, SEVERE. I could barely take a step, my hearing went muffled and my sight went wonky. I had to sit on a rock to collect myself. A friend was with us, and she said that my face went white. I thought I was going to pass out.

I sat there for about 10 minutes, and once everything started to feel better, I got up and walked a little further to where Ross was waiting for us. I told him what happened, he, of course, panicked; but I said I was okay. We ate lunch, I felt much better, and Jordan and I went home.

Yesterday I took Jordan to a theme park type thing in our area, walked around the entire day, but didn’t feel bad at all.

But, today when I was walking to my doctor’s appointment I started to get the pain again. I took my time, and made sure I told my doctor everything when I got there. He didn’t sound too worried, and said that I would have experienced the hearing/sight issue because I was about to faint. The baby has still been extremely active, so that is a good sign. Other than that… I’ve felt great. He thinks it’s probably because of how big my belly is, it’s hard on my body to carry it.

He scheduled me for another ultrasound in a few weeks. And Ross and I meet with the surgeon next Monday to discuss what is going to happen regarding my c-section. Now, because I am overweight they are probably going to send me to the hospital a few towns away where an obstetrician would perform the surgery, opposed to the general surgeon at this hospital. They said that I’m more at risk of complications because of my weight, and they just want everything to go as smooth as possible… I completely understand, all we want is for the baby to be born safely.

Anyhoo, I’m going to tidy up the house a bit. My brother and I are taking Jordan to see Wall-E this afternoon, it should be fun!

It’s been raining off and on since late Friday night. Yesterday was our Sunday School’s annual picnic, and it had to be held indoors for the most part due to the weather. But, Jordan still had a blast and it was nice seeing a lot of people that I haven’t in a while.

Afterwards Ross and I drove way out to a secluded little beach and attempted to go swimming. But, the mosquitoes/blackflies were out in full force and I’m surprised that we don’t have chunks taken out of our limbs from them attacking during the 10 minutes we were out of the car. We left shortly after being eaten alive, went grocery shopping and then came home to relax.

Jordan is in here right now, showing me how she can skip with a skipping rope. Some older girls taught her yesterday, and she caught on pretty quickly! I’m going to buy her a proper rope with wooden handles, better to skip with, methinks.

Ross and I have been talking about taking a family vacation some time next year when the baby is older. We’ve never been anywhere that far as a family, and it would be nice to get away. Maybe to one of the gorgeous Laughlin hotels, perhaps?

Absolutely nothing to do today except tidy up here and there. Our bedroom is where I need to concentrate, but every time I come in here I look at the ‘mess’ and don’t want to clean it.

Ross put the baby’s change table together on Sunday, and so far it has been a holding area for the clean laundry I’ve been neglecting to put away.

Speaking of baby, I re-washed all of Jordan’s receiving blankets and infant onesies/sleepers for this one to use. She had a lot of white/yellow/green items that were purchased before her birth, so it’ll be good if I’m having a boy this time around. I’m not too worried about the ‘girly’ receiving blankets though… they’re pretty much just used for lying the baby on wiping up drool/puke, lol.

Anyhoo… changed the boy name AGAIN! It was going to be Alex… then Roman… now I’m going to keep it a secret until the baby is actually here. And if it’s a boy, then you’ll know the name, if it’s a girl… well, we’re sticking with Marley

I meet with the surgeon soon… I’m so excited. Then, the next big ‘event’ is our 5th anniversary… we were split up for a while, but meh why start over counting?… five years already. I’m not sure what to get him, maybe some air tools? Who knows, he’s a guy, he’ll be happy with whatever.

I had a checkup today, everything went well. I actually have lost 3lbs. since my last appointment two weeks ago. My blood pressure is perfect, baby sounds great (140bpm), and it is resting high in my uterus.

Also, I registered Jordan for Junior Kindergarten today! *sniffles*
We went to the school this afternoon, met the principal and filled out all the needed paperwork.

It’s hard to believe that in September I’ll have a child going to school, and a newborn at home.

Jordan is so excited too, she wanted to stay the rest of the day and play outside; and was severely disappointed when it was time to leave. I know she’ll love it when it’s time for her to attend regularly.

That’s about it for now!

Well, it’s Friday, and I couldn’t be happier. Another week done, and closer to everything I’m looking forward to!

The optometrist called this morning and said our glasses are ready. We were expecting them next week, so I was happy to hear that we could pick them up today. Ross went and got them during his lunch break and said that he’s got a lot of compliments from his co-workers that he looks good in them. So that made him feel better about having to wear them all the time.

So are you guys sick of hearing about my pregnancy yet? No? GOOD! Yes? Too bad! LOL
I’m 30 weeks today, and getting ever so close to my July 7th appointment with my surgeon to pick out a birth date for my baby!

Today is just a relaxing day around the house. Jordan and I have showered, got dressed, and tidied up a bit. She’s watching television in her room, and I’m sitting here, in front of the window looking out at the lake, the blue sky, and feeling the warm air. It’s heavenly.

It’s supposed to thunderstorm tonight, so I doubt we’ll make any plans for anything outdoors later. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ross and I went to the optometrist this morning. We were both in dire need of a check up… and without a surprise we both were fitted for frames. Ross’ eyes are far worse than mine are; if he doesn’t get them checked routinely he could develop glaucoma. The doctor made sure he was aware of how serious the situation is. He could barely see when we left the office too.

Our frames will be ready shortly, and I’m honestly not that upset about having to wear them. I was never one for glasses, and always swore that if I *had* to wear them, I’d choose contacts instead. Well, that was before I saw the sexy Dolce & Gabbana frames in the office! Wooooooo, they’re niiiiiice! And, not as much as I thought they’d be… my Chanel sunglasses were FAR more expensive in comparison; and they’re not prescription.

Anyway, one of the assistants helped Ross find a nice pair of frames, and he looks pretty darn good in them too. He’ll have to wear his all the time, where as I only have to when driving/reading.

So yeah… that’s my update. Nothing else really going on around here. I’ll be 30 weeks tomorrow; time is really flying. I remember how excited I was when 20 weeks was here… that felt like yesterday!
